View all your files at once

View up to 10 Million thumbnail images at once in a list. View your files as list, small icons, large icons or thumbnails in a modern browser. Memory management and components are all focused on performance.

There are 5 different view modes: list, small icons, large icons, thumbnails and details. You can easily switch modes with the function keys.

In each mode you can specify to view icons or thumbnails and you can specify the thumbnail size.

Sort lightning fast

Sort items on name, date, size, folder, series, rating, description, etc. You can even sort on compression factor, image dimensions and similarity!

The sorting algorithm is the fastest available and it uses fast binary compare methods.

Randomize

Randomize items in the list (ultra-fast). This means that you can still use the normal "forward" and "backward" buttons in the slideshow, even on randomized items.

Scan for files, including subdirectories

Scan for files across directories, this allows you to add your collection of files very easily. But you can also use the folder browser just like Windows Explorer. Check the folders you want to include in your collection.

When you want to see all your items in one list, just click the "All Items" entry at the top. Here you can add searches and filters that will apply to all your files.

View major image formats

Views all major types of files: JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF, BMP and many others. The new version now supports JP2 (JPeg 2000), AVI first frame, TTF impression, CRW and DXF. View the ABCVM page on image formats, and download plugins on the plugins page.

Get the smoothest resized images

Enlarge or shrink your images to fit the screen size. This is done in a very friendly way, by first doing a quick resize and then using a background process to enhance the picture using Lazcos filtering.

Check for duplicates while working

Check for duplicates in the file list. This duplicate checker is one of the fastest around, and can be started in the background while working with the program. Read more.

And what to think of ABC-View's unmatched similarity searches! You can create a list of all similar images, grouped together using color bands. No other application matches the speed with which this is accomplished. Read more.

Delete files, or archive them in a ZIP file

Delete files safely and efficiently. Or move the files to an archive folder or a ZIP file. A dialog box is displayed that allows you to verify which files you are about to delete.

Load and save collections efficiently

Load and save your collections. Loading a collection is usually much faster than actually scanning the files using explorer. The items are stored very efficiently using compression.

ABC-View uses a in-memory database structure when possible. If more storage room is needed, ABC will use temporary files that are removed once the application is terminated.

ABC-View Manager is an open system. You can export the database information (files, file information, folders, descriptions, etc) to CSV or XML format to use into other applications.

Note that ABC-View Manager can also store the thumbnails of the images. Make sure to set the option "pre-load thumbnails" in the options to make full use of this option. This way you can create offline browsing collections of your CD-Roms.

Email your friends directly

Email the selected files directly from the application. Auto-shrink the images before sending, and split large attachment groups over multiple emails.

Save the hassle of having to create downscaled copies yourself! Let ABC-View Manager handle this for you and avoid errors. Read more.

Create html thumbnail galleries

With the Build-a-Web wizard you can quickly create html thumbnail galleries, like for your holiday photos (example here). This way of sharing your pictures with others is very efficient, for everyone that has access to public webspace.

The web gallery builder will resize and recompress your pictures to web-size, create the thumbnails, and create the html index and image pages. There are numerous additional options. Read more.

Rotate JPG without loss

Losless rotation and flipping of JPEG files using lowlevel operations on the JPEG's structure ensures that your original digital camera's remarks and info stored in the JPG will not be lost, and you can rotate as many times as you like without loosing quality. Even the file-date is left unchanged. The latest Exif Patch is now included.

ABC-View Manager can also use the EXIF tag "Orientation", present in some modern cameras. This tag represents the orientation of the camera at the moment of shooting the photo. Based on this orientation, your photos will be rotated correctly. Read more.

Full drag & drop support!

You can use full drag/drop support to and from explorer to add files to the catalog or to copy files to other places.

And use the drag and drop internally to move and copy files. You can also use clipboard operations (cut, copy, paste) from the view menu or with the keyboard shortcuts.
