The main screen shows a graphical representation of the connection to the selected host.

In this screen you can select the host, change some basic settings and start & stop the monitoring.

Connection Checker can produce a logfile that will tell you exactly when and for how long any connection was down.
A very helpful feature if you want to check your website's availability!
